“What are the things you are most grateful for this year, because of the belief they reinforced or created in you that will make a major difference?”
What a powerful question!
There’s nothing like the right question to find the right answer. Maybe it’s really that simple. Find the right questions to ask and you’re 50% there.
That question was asked of me recently, by a wonderful host on a broadcast I was being interviewed in.
At first, I thought.
“Oh, my goodness…I’m going to need some time to think about this.”
However, one popped into my mind immediately, and as I was sharing it, dozens more popped into my mind.
I would highly encourage you to answer this question yourself as 2024 comes to a close.
First of all, we know the power of gratitude.
I’ve shared it in many blogs, in many trainings, and on many broadcasts.

Let’s make it a part of our daily lives … to practice gratitude.
Let’s start now to replace our excuses, our justifications, our explaining away about why we can’t do that … with a grateful heart.
And a mind and soul that honestly asks, “What will change if I stay as I am?”
Everybody’s answer is the same … NOTHING!
So make space for those things that we’re grateful for that have installed new empowering beliefs, or have significantly boosted those we already have!

1. I am grateful for Cody Burch.
Who is Cody?
Cody is my business and personal Coach.
I met him through reaching out to one of the premiere digital marketing gurus. I knew I couldn’t work with him ($20,000 a day) but I wanted to work with someone he’d trained.
Little did I know I was not getting (second best) … I was getting THE BEST!
Working with Cody has made a world of difference in my business, as well as my personal development … and my life!
WHAT BELIEF DID IT GIVE A SKY-ROCKET BOOST TO?
That believing in others is one of the most powerful gifts we can give. And embracing our gifts is ALL about giving and serving them to others!
I have learned great skills from Cody. In a year:
- I have grown my audience from less than 2,000 to almost 9,000.
- I am equipped to launch almost anything that I feel called to share.
- I have learned keys to speaking to my audience in ways that make a difference in their lives.
And…I am surrounded by, and good friends with, colleagues from around the globe as a result of my time with him.
But the greatest gift I’ve received from Cody?
He believes in me.
He believes in my dreams.
He believes in my calling, my mission, my cause.
He believes it is the right time for me to share my gifts.
He believes my gifts are transformational to others, particularly those who’ve experienced trauma.
Because he has believed in me, it has set my belief that believing in others is the greatest gift I have to give…ON STEROIDSl
Daily, I’m inspired to believe in others.
To let them know I believe in them.
And to watch as their gifts, their missions, their causes come to life!
I am thankful for you, Cody…but I am DEEPLY GRATEFUL that you reignited my belief that believing in others is the greatest gift I have to give!
“A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness. It is an expression of humility. It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love, and well-being.” – James E. Faust
2. I am grateful for Kaiden Maverick.
Who is Kaiden Maverick?
My grand nephew!
My niece, and her amazing husband, waited and worked long and hard to conceive this bundle of joy!
After almost 10 years of planning, hoping, visits to specialists, and some very difficult losses, he made his grand entrance into our hearts less than a year ago.
Not only do I get to see my “Bushka” (my name for my beloved niece) become an awesome mom, I also get to watch her husband become an amazing dad!
My sister is full of more joy than I’ve ever seen her experience as Kaiden’s “Honey”!
And her cross-fit, dirt bike racing macho husband has become a Papaw, wrapped around his grandson’s little finger! (Who knew macho could become tender in a matter of seconds?)
As for me, ‘dee dee,’ I am smitten with total adoration!
WHAT BELIEF DID IT GIVE A SKY-ROCKET BOOST TO?
That it’s NEVER too late!
I say this often to my clients: “It is NEVER too late!”
But as I watched them over a period of many years stay in the game, after disappointments, after tragic losses, after seeming ‘impossibilities’…I came to admire their determination that they would have the family they longed for.
I am now listening acutely for any sense of ‘it’s too late’ with my loved ones, with my clients, with my online audience, with the people I train.
Because it is truly NEVER too late!
When I hear anything that even remotely smacks of that…I put it in reverse and go back to find out where that belief came from.
And destroy that old belief and install a powerful and empowering new belief.
Because it is NEVER too late. NEVER!
Things happen that we cannot control. But it’s never too late to reach forward for the awesome things we long for!
I am thankful for you, Kaiden … but I’m DEEPLY GRATEFUL that you fueled my belief that it is never too late!
A heart set on living with the attitude that it’s never too late … finds new life.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” – Melody Beattie
3. I am grateful for launching.
What is launching?
It is the ability to take my gifts and talents (that I believe were God-given) and turn them into courses, trainings, experiences that I believe are transformative.
I’ve been blessed to have a very successful career. In my career, I’ve had the privilege to:
- Own and operate inpatient and outpatient treatment centers.
- Train Life and Trauma Coaches from all over the globe.
- Develop a purpose workshop that I was able to share around the world.
- Enjoy a private practice, rich in transforming lives.
- Speak to audiences on almost every continent.
I am grateful for launching…because it has helped me remember that growth opportunities are the greatest gift we can give, and it’s fulfilling for those to whom we provide these growth opportunities.
It’s creating anticipation that keeps us growing and reaching and stretching always-and-ever enhancing our gifts.
Personal growth is the need (that when met) launches each of us into THRIVING.
Particularly after trauma.
Because I know how to do launches, this past year I’ve had the opportunity to offer courses, trainings, and experiences that have led people into thriving!
WHAT BELIEF DID IT GIVE A SKY-ROCKET BOOST TO?
That we were all meant to THRIVE…not just SURVIVE!
Particularly after trauma.
After broken hearts.
After loss.
After hurt and disappointment.
After divorce.
After financial devastation (and any other things that can throw us into survival mode.)
Because of learning the skill to launch this year, I’ve had the privilege to launch:
- C-SPA (Coaches Summit for Partnership & Accountability)
- Power of Purpose (a relaunch after it was “at rest” for 10 years)
- The Trauma Healing Blueprint
- Filming, production, and editing of an all-new Basic Life Trauma Coaching hybrid course
- Designing An Extraordinary 2025 (a relaunch …and it’s not too late to sign up for it! Click here):

There’s nothing more fulfilling than witnessing people moving from surviving into THRIVING!
I am thankful for learning to launch … but I am DEEPLY GRATEFUL that it has turbo boosted my belief that we can all move from surviving to THRIVING!
I feel like one of the most blessed people on earth to have the privilege to spend my life helping people heal their hurts, disappointments, and trauma…and to see them move from surviving to thriving!

What about you?
Gratitude is the BEST place to start the reshaping of your brain…and your thinking…and…your attitude will follow and…so will your heart!
We all have so many things to be grateful for!
But what are you grateful for that has created or turbo charged a belief that will make a difference in your life?
And regardless of your career, a turbo charged empowering belief will not only make a difference in your life…but it’s highly contagious!
It will make a difference in the lives of those you love as well.
I’d like to challenge you to share with at least one other person over this Thanksgiving season…3 things you’re grateful for that have and will make a difference!
-Share it with your family.
-Share it on social media.
-Share it with your audience.
“I truly believe we can either see the connections, celebrate them, and express gratitude for our blessings, or we can see life as a string of coincidences that have no meaning or connection. For me, I’m going to believe in miracles, celebrate life, rejoice in the views of eternity, and hope my choices will create a positive ripple effect in the lives of others. This is my choice.” – Mike Ericksen
